PRESS RELEASE
September 23, 2025 – The African Girls Empowerment Network has reaffirmed its commitment to ending sexual exploitation and trafficking of women, girls, and boys as the world marks the International Day Against Sexual Exploitation and Trafficking.
This year’s focus is summed up in the message: “Speak Up & Heal, Because AGE Cares — and Remember, Men Give Belle by Choice, Not by Force.”
The group is calling on communities, policymakers, and stakeholders to break the silence, support survivors, and challenge harmful practices that fuel abuse. Through its initiatives Speak Up & Heal and Men Give Belle by Choice, Not by Force, AGE Network promotes survivor-centered healing and positive masculinity.
“Exploitation thrives in silence. We urge everyone to raise their voices, protect the vulnerable, and build a culture of respect and consent,” the organization stated.
